TYESA member schools have agreed to adhere to the following curriculum guidelines for an Associates in Science Degree in Engineering
Science. Number of Required Semester Courses for Course Area 4 - Math (Calculus 1,2, Differential
Equations, Calculus 3 or Linear Algebra or Statistics) 2 - Physics 1 - Chemistry I 4 - English/Humanities/Social
Sciences 1 - Computer Programming (Math software or programming) 1 - Introduction to Engineering *
- (A design experience as a separate course or integrated existing course)
Elective Semester Courses (Minimum of 6 required) (A minimum of 2 must be engineering science)
Statics Dynamics Circuits & Networks 1 Strength of Materials Thermodynamics
Materials Science Graphics Circuit and Networks II Engineering Laboratory Microprocessor
Applications Organic Chemistry I and II Modern Physics Linear Algebra General Biology
I and II Chemistry II Digital Electronics Computer Science I and II The
topical coverage in the above courses will be reviewed as needed by TYESA and representatives of the Association of Engineering
